Curriculum Vitae

Artistic and professional trajectory of Eduardo Caamaño

Biography

EDUARDO CAAMAÑO GATICA
(Spain - Mexico 1966)

Madrid-born on his father's side and Oaxacan on his mother's side, Eduardo Caamaño spent his childhood, youth, and early years as an artist on the island of Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain). A couple of years ago, he returned to Mexico.

He held his first solo exhibition in Mexico City at the Sebastián Foundation and currently participates in the large-format painting collective exhibition as part of the Soledad Collection, while simultaneously working with writer Tesseo Fournier on a graphic novel inspired by Fournier's book "Bajo el puente" ("Under the Bridge").

His love for painting was instilled in him by his uncle, painter Ricardo Fuentes Alcocer, who introduced him to technique and craft. He later entered the workshop of master Joan Vich.

Concurrently, he worked in various architects' offices, including those of architects Jaime Trullols and José Mª. Mosteiro, where he worked as a graphic designer.
